Common questions

How do I play? Build down one rank at a time, on any suit. Only a run of one suit moves as a unit. Tap the stock to deal ten cards, one to each column; it deals five times. A complete King-to-Ace run in one suit lifts off by itself, and clearing all eight wins. How to Play in Settings shows each rule on real cards.

How many suits should I play? One suit is the gentlest game and four is the real thing. Pick the count in Settings or from Play, any deal; Statistics keeps each count apart.

What’s the difference between Relaxed and Classic? Relaxed lets the stock deal with empty columns on the table. Classic, the traditional rule, asks you to fill every column first.

How do coins and Unlimited Play work? A new deal costs 50 coins and a hint 10. You get 50 coins every day and 50 for every win; undo, Replay and the Daily Challenge are always free. Unlimited Play, one purchase, makes every deal and hint free on all your iPhones, iPads and Macs, with Family Sharing. Coins stay on the device that earned them.

I bought Unlimited Play and it isn’t showing. Settings › Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with.

I updated from Spider Solitaire 1.0. Where is my progress? Your coins, statistics, won Daily Challenges and game in progress came across on the first launch of 1.1. Wins from 1.0 count in your totals but didn’t record a time, so your average win time starts with your next win.

Does it work on the Mac? Yes, as a Mac app of its own: click or drag to move cards, size the window as you like, and use the menus — ⌘N for a new game, ⌘Z to undo, ⇧⌘H for a hint.

Do I need Game Center? No. If you’re signed in, your achievements and Daily Challenge times go to its leaderboards; if you’re not, nothing changes and the App never asks you to sign in.

Can I turn off the sounds? Sound is off unless you turn it on in Settings, and so are haptics if you’d rather. The App follows Reduce Motion.
