Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the Spider Solitaire • No Ads app (“the App”), on iPhone, iPad and Mac, handles information. The App is designed so that no personal data leaves your device.
Summary
- The App collects no personal information.
- The App contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.
- Your games, statistics, coins and settings stay on your device. Nothing about your gameplay is sent anywhere except, if you use it, to Apple’s Game Center.
- Once a week at most, the App downloads the list of our other No Ads apps; it sends nothing about you.
- In-app purchases are handled by Apple’s App Store; the App never sees your payment details.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:
- Your name, email, or any account credentials (the App has no accounts)
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Crash reports or diagnostics beyond Apple’s own system reporting, which you control in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements on iPhone and iPad, or System Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements on the Mac
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA) — the App does not request app-tracking permission
- Your location
What the App stores on your device
The game in progress, your statistics (games played and won at each suit count, streaks, best times, scores and moves) and deal history, the Daily Challenges you have won, your achievements, daily goals, level and day streak, your coin balance and your settings (suits, card deck, table colour, sound, haptics, left-handed layout, timer) are kept on your device, in the App’s own storage. None of it is synced through iCloud or sent to the developer. Deleting the App deletes it.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, the App reports your achievements, your number of games won and best score at each suit count, and your time and moves when you win the day’s Daily Challenge to it, for its leaderboards, along with the time you spend playing as a Game Center activity. Game Center is Apple’s service and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. The App never asks you to sign in to Game Center; if you aren’t signed in, nothing is reported.
The “More Apps with No Ads” list
So that the list of our other apps in Settings stays current, the App downloads it, with the apps’ icons, from a public file hosted on GitHub Pages, at most once a week, and keeps a copy on your device. The download sends nothing about you, your device or your use of the App: every one of our apps makes exactly the same request. GitHub, as the host, may log the IP address of each request for security purposes, under GitHub’s General Privacy Statement; we cannot see those logs.
Purchases
New deals and hints cost coins, which the App gives you every day and for every win; undo, the Daily Challenge and every card deck and table colour are free. Coins live only on your device: they are not money, can’t be bought, sold or exchanged, have no cash value, and are not synced between your devices. The App sells one optional in-app purchase, Unlimited Play, which makes new deals and hints free.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. The App receives a signed confirmation of whether you own Unlimited Play, but does not see your payment details, name, address, or billing information.
Apple’s privacy policy governs Game Center and the purchase process: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Third-party services
The App does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms. The external systems the App talks to are Apple’s App Store (for purchase verification), Apple’s Game Center if you use it, and GitHub Pages, only to download the More Apps list described above.
Children
The App is suitable for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). The App does not contain content inappropriate for children.
