Terms of Service

By downloading or using the Cloudless Cam app (“the App”) you agree to these terms.

License

You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms under which you installed it.

Cost

The App is free. It contains no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no advertising.

Your cameras and your network

The App is a viewer. It connects only to the cameras and addresses you point it at, and only across your own local network.

You are responsible for:

  • Having the right to access and view any camera you connect to
  • Complying with the laws that apply where your cameras are installed — recording, monitoring, and notice requirements vary by country, state, and locality, and can differ for audio and video
  • Keeping your own cameras, network, and credentials secure

The App does not record, store, or transmit your video or audio anywhere. Any snapshot you save is written to your device’s photo library and is yours to manage.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except to the extent applicable law permits
  • Use the App in a way that violates applicable laws or infringes the rights of others
  • Use the App to access cameras or systems you are not authorized to access

Third-party cameras

The App speaks the RTSP and ONVIF standards. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by any camera manufacturer. Cameras vary widely in how faithfully they implement these standards, and some may not work, or may not support every feature, through no fault of either party.

Warranty disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent allowed by law.

The App is not a security or life-safety system. It offers no monitoring, no alerting, no recording, and no guarantee that a stream will be available, uninterrupted, or timely. Do not rely on it for anything where a missed or delayed image could cause harm or loss.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App’s developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App’s developer is based, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
