Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Euchre: No Ads app (“the App”), on iPhone, iPad and Mac, handles information. The App is designed so that no personal data leaves your device.

Summary

  • The App collects no personal information.
  • The App contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.
  • Your games, statistics, coins and settings stay on your device. Nothing about your gameplay is sent anywhere except, if you use it, to Apple’s Game Center.
  • Once a week at most, the App downloads the list of our other No Ads apps; it sends nothing about you.
  • In-app purchases are handled by Apple’s App Store; the App never sees your payment details.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:

  • Your name, email, or any account credentials (the App has no accounts)
  • Usage analytics or telemetry
  • Crash reports or diagnostics beyond Apple’s own system reporting, which you control in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements on iPhone and iPad, or System Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements on the Mac
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA) — the App does not request app-tracking permission
  • Your location
  • Your contacts, calendar, photos, or any other system-level data — the App does not request access to any of these

Data that stays on your device

The App saves your game in progress, settings, statistics, coin balance, and your unlocked card backs and table felts locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData storage. This data:

  • Is never transmitted off your device by the App
  • May be backed up along with your other app data if you have iCloud Backup, a Finder backup or Time Machine enabled. That backup is controlled entirely by you
  • Is removed when you delete the App from your device

Saved games are stored as the list of moves that were played, so that closing the App mid-hand and reopening it later puts you back in the same position. Those moves describe the card game and nothing else.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center and leave Game Center switched on in the App’s Settings, the App reports five lifetime totals to it for its leaderboards: games played, games won, euchres inflicted, loners made and your longest win streak. Game Center is Apple’s service and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. The App never asks you to sign in to Game Center; if you aren’t signed in, nothing is reported.

The “More apps with no ads” list

So that the list of our other apps stays current, the App downloads it, with the apps’ icons, from a public file hosted on GitHub Pages, at most once a week, and keeps a copy on your device. The download sends nothing about you, your device or your use of the App: every one of our apps makes exactly the same request. GitHub, as the host, may log the IP address of each request for security purposes, under GitHub’s General Privacy Statement; we cannot see those logs.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. The App receives a signed receipt confirming whether you own the Euchre VIP unlock, but does not see your payment details, name, address, or billing information.

Third-party services

The App does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms. The external systems the App talks to are Apple’s App Store (for purchase verification), Apple’s Game Center if you use it, and GitHub Pages, only to download the More Apps list described above.

Children

The App is suitable for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). The App does not contain content inappropriate for children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the new version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be described in the App Store release notes for the version that brings them.
